Outkast’s Atlanta identity is becoming part of Georgia’s game-week wardrobe through a new Nike and Class Trip collaboration.
The Outkast U collection brings Nike, the University of Georgia and the pioneering rap duo together before the Bulldogs face Florida in Atlanta on October 31. The limited-edition range began its rollout October 27, with a broader release scheduled for October 28.
André 3000 and Big Boi’s wardrobes supplied the creative starting point. Rather than treating the musicians’ names as an added logo, the collection pairs their individual style references with familiar college-football pieces, including varsity jackets, jerseys, rugby shirts and a satin bomber.
The recurring No. 96 connects two Georgia histories. As FOX 5 Atlanta explains, it points to the 1996 release of ATLiens and to Kirby Smart’s playing days in the Bulldogs’ secondary. Outkast’s crown also sits above the Georgia G, combining the two identities in a single emblem.
The collaboration reaches past merchandise for fans. Georgia’s athletes, coaches and staff will have exclusive performance equipment and sideline apparel for the Florida game, putting the partnership inside the football operation as well as in stores.
Nike’s announcement names six NIL athletes in the campaign, photographed in Athens over the summer. Their images recreate familiar Outkast photographs, extending the connection through the visual language of the duo’s career.
The first launch includes SNKRS, Class Trip and selected Atlanta retailers. The wider October 28 release adds Nike’s website and selected stores, before a Mercedes-Benz Stadium pop-up on game day. For fans, that creates several ways to encounter a collaboration built around the meeting of Atlanta music and Georgia football.
