San Antonio pulled away in the fourth quarter as Wembanyama and Dylan Harper combined for 45 points in Dallas.

Victor Wembanyama helped the San Antonio Spurs get their first win of the season with 23 points, seven rebounds and four blocks against Dallas on October 24. The 122-106 result moved both teams to 1-2 and gave San Antonio a stronger finish after two opening defeats.

Wembanyama made nine of 18 shots in just under 29 minutes, including two three-pointers. San Antonio outscored Dallas by 32 points during his time on the floor, a single-game measure of the team’s advantage in those minutes rather than a complete verdict on individual defense.

Dylan Harper supplied 22 points on nine-of-18 shooting, giving the Spurs another scorer who could convert half of his attempts. Stephon Castle added 19 points and eight assists, with the production spread beyond the frontcourt.

San Antonio finished with 34 assists and 15 offensive rebounds, keeping possessions alive and creating additional chances to score. Those totals helped offset a Dallas team that shot a better percentage from the field overall.

The NBA’s official recap identifies a one-point Spurs lead early in the fourth before San Antonio took control. A 30-17 final-quarter advantage turned what had still been a competitive game into a clear road victory.

Rookie Sergio de Larrea led Dallas with 21 points, while Daniel Gafford collected nine rebounds. For the Spurs, the most useful outcome was not just the end of the winless start, but a closing stretch in which their scoring depth and extra possessions translated into separation.
