MR JONES Releases “BRUCE WAYNE” With Coatse Beats

The Birmingham rapper teams with Coatse Beats on a new single that continues his independent journey, alongside a performance-focused P110 visual.

MR JONES has released “BRUCE WAYNE,” bringing his independent Birmingham rap story into a new chapter. The single pairs him with producer Coatse Beats and grows out of a straightforward ambition: keep writing, keep improving and give listeners another reason to pay attention to the bars.

For Jones, a track starts with finding a beat he can connect with. Once that foundation clicks, the words follow, with a week or two typically spent refining the flow before he considers a song ready.

That process took “BRUCE WAYNE” to Smokehouse Studios in South Birmingham, where Jones and Coatse Beats completed the recording in roughly four to five hours. Conceived as a freestyle, the release puts his commitment to lyrical expression at the centre of the project.

The accompanying visual was created with P110 Music Channel and filmed in a black room at a local creative arts centre. Its setup keeps the focus on Jones and a microphone, carrying his performance-first approach from the studio into the frame.

Born and raised in Birmingham, Jones started DJing at 14 and recorded his first track that same year at South Birmingham College in Digbeth. He began in grime before moving into rap, developing his approach on the underground mixtape “Hunger in the Heath” and continuing to build his catalogue independently.

His journey also includes “The Journey Begins,” the 2017 mixtape hosted by DJ SN1 Big Ryde. That persistence remains central to his story, with “BRUCE WAYNE” adding another chapter to a catalogue built on his own terms.
