Yung Miami Pairs “2008” and “F You” as the Watch Dis Countdown Begins

Yung Miami reconnects with J White and taps London On Da Track for two singles arriving ahead of her October solo debut.

Yung Miami has released “2008” and “F You,” adding two new records to the build-up for Watch Dis. Both songs arrived on October 2, with the rapper’s debut solo album set for October 23 and an official music video accompanying “2008.”

“2008” brings Miami back together with J White, the producer behind “Spend Dat,” and draws on the late-2000s Southern rap era. She invokes Jeezy as a reference point for her own winning streak, connecting the song’s title to a period when his music helped define the region’s sound and ambition.

On “F You,” London On Da Track handles production as Miami revisits the Yo Gotti and Meek Mill record of the same name through a sample. The song links her dismissive message to questions of trust and shared struggle, with lyrics that frame financial success against the pain and hardship that preceded it.

The double release also gives context to the challenge behind her album title. “They counted me out, and I heard every bit of it,” Miami said in her album announcement, explaining that she chose to release two songs and a video together because she felt confident in the music she had made.

That confidence follows the breakthrough of “Spend Dat,” which reached No. 17 on the Billboard Hot 100 and gave her a first solo top-20 hit. She extended its run with a remix featuring Lil Baby and Kodak Black, then released an international version with Davido, Shenseea and Vybz Kartel.

Miami had already confirmed that her solo album was finished during an August interview with Angela Yee. With its title and release date now public, listeners can hear the latest additions through the official streaming links for “2008” and “F You” ahead of Watch Dis’s arrival.
