DJ Akademiks has turned his latest online clash with Meek Mill into a visual warning, posting a video of his gun collection after the rapper asked followers for his location and said he wanted to stream outside his New Jersey home.
The long-running feud between DJ Akademiks and Meek Mill flared up again over the weekend, this time in the aftermath of Lil Durk‘s federal acquittal. Meek criticized Akademiks’ role in hip-hop media and called on fans to unfollow and mute the streamer, arguing that his coverage has fueled damaging narratives around artists.
Meek then escalated the online exchange by asking followers where Akademiks lived in New Jersey and saying he wanted his first stream to take place outside the media personality’s home. In one post, Meek stressed that he was talking about “no illegal activity just trolling,” while continuing to challenge Akademiks publicly and promote plans for a Dream Chasers streaming push.
Akademiks later answered with a video that showed a large display of firearms, a clip widely interpreted as his response to Meek talking about showing up near his home. He did not appear to fire a weapon or identify a target in the footage, but the gun collection post pushed an already heated internet feud into more serious territory.
The latest round started after Meek took issue with Akademiks’ coverage surrounding Lil Durk’s trial and acquittal. Akademiks later shared a screenshot that appeared to show repeated calls from Meek and wrote, “Goodbye Meek.”
