‘Doctor Who’ Actor Noel Clarke Charged With Six Sexual Offences Involving Five Women

British actor and filmmaker Noel Clarke is facing six criminal charges in London over alleged sexual misconduct involving five women and spanning nearly a decade.

London’s Metropolitan Police said Clarke, 50, was charged on Wednesday, September 9, with two counts of sexual assault, three counts of voyeurism and one count of exposure. The alleged offences are said to have taken place between 2007 and 2016 and relate to five women.

The Crown Prosecution Service authorized the charges after detectives submitted a file of evidence following an investigation that began in September 2025. Clarke was first arrested in connection with that investigation on September 25, 2025, according to police.

Clarke is due to appear at Westminster Magistrates’ Court on October 21 at 10 a.m. Bethan David, Deputy Chief Crown Prosecutor for CPS London, said prosecutors determined there was sufficient evidence to bring the case to court and that prosecution was in the public interest.

The CPS also stressed that criminal proceedings are now active and that Clarke has a right to a fair trial. The charges are allegations, and the current criminal case has not resulted in a conviction.

Detective Superintendent Mike Cagney said the five women connected to the charges continue to receive support from specially trained officers. Police also encouraged anyone who has experienced sexual assault to contact authorities, saying reports would be handled sensitively.

Clarke is widely known for playing Mickey Smith on Doctor Who and for writing and starring in the 2006 film Kidulthood. The Guardian reported allegations of sexual misconduct against him in 2021, which Clarke denied; in August 2025, he lost a libel claim against the newspaper’s publisher over that reporting.
