Usher got an up-close look at his new Madame Tussauds wax figure in Las Vegas, and even he seemed stunned by how closely the finished piece captured his appearance.

Usher met his new wax double at Madame Tussauds Las Vegas on Sept. 2, unveiling a figure inspired by his celebrated run of shows in the city. According to Complex, the singer took one look at the finished piece and joked, “It looks more like me than me.”

The figure recreates a look from Usher’s Las Vegas era, pairing a Vanson skeleton biker jacket with black pants, roller skates and a replica of his signature “U” pendant. Usher also focused on the face, asking the artists, “You guys got my eyes right?” as he examined the sculpture.

Madame Tussauds reportedly spent nine months on the figure, with a team of 20 artists involved in the process. The attraction’s detailed approach can include hundreds of measurements and photographs before artists sculpt, paint and finish the likeness by hand.

The outfit and pose connect directly to the stage identity Usher developed during his Las Vegas residencies, including the My Way run that followed his first residency at Caesars Palace. The singer said he hopes fans who missed those shows can still get a sense of the experience through the new figure.

The unveiling also arrives as Usher remains closely tied to Las Vegas through live performance. He and Chris Brown are bringing The R&B Tour to Allegiant Stadium for multiple dates in September, extending a run that has kept both stars in major venues across the country.

Usher’s reaction made the reveal feel less like a routine celebrity honor and more like a genuine double take. With the figure now on display in Las Vegas, the resemblance has quickly become the biggest talking point around the unveiling.
