Last Foot Standing” — Chicago Footwork Film Set For Mid-2026 Release

CHICAGO, IL — Chicago’s legendary footwork culture is headed to the big screen with Last Foot Standing, set for release mid-2026. Directed by William Sharif and produced by Director Anonymous and Boom Forever, the film follows three childhood friends navigating loyalty, legacy, and the raw intensity of the city’s dance scene.

At the center is Stretch (aka Nobu) — the leader of Werk Up, a rising footwork crew known for discipline, creativity, and nonstop late-night training. Stretch is a naturally gifted dancer who carries the added responsibility of caring for his sick grandmother, with his friends rallying around him to help keep her healthy while they chase their dreams.

Nandi (Queen Zulu) — a fierce battler who also devotes her time to teaching Chicago’s children the fundamentals of footwork, ensuring the culture is preserved and passed on. She’s scrappy, the backbone of the crew, stands with them through every challenge, keeping Werk Up grounded and unified.

Their biggest competition comes from the relentless leaders of the rival crews known for high-pressure battles and no forgiveness for weakness. When Werk Up crew collides, tensions escalate quickly, pushing Stretch and his team to confront their limits, their loyalty, and their desire to become legends.

The city’s underground footwork scene becomes the battleground — where pride is on the line, friendships are tested, and every misstep carries consequences for Dolla (aka Endubis). In a world where the rhythm never stops, only one dancer will emerge as the last foot standing.

Last Foot Standing blends heart, authenticity, and raw Chicago energy. With real dancers, real culture, and a soundtrack rooted in hip hop juke and footwork, the film aims to give Chicago’s global dance movement the cinematic spotlight it deserves in 2026.
