50 Cent turned a serious conversation about marriage into a comedy moment when he revived one of Tyrese Gibson’s most unforgettable viral lines right in front of him.
50 Cent shared his blunt view of marriage during an episode of Apple Music’s Rap Life Review connected to the Donell Jones and Joe VERZUZ on Aug. 21. Sitting with Ebro Darden, Tyrese, Tony Yayo and Uncle Murda, the G-Unit mogul argued that marriage is a “bad contract” because of what can happen when a relationship falls apart.
“Marriage is a bad contract,” 50 said, according to Complex. “It’s the only contract you have to renegotiate to get to a good place.” He went on to describe marriage as a major investment of time and energy, while pointing to child support as one of the complications that can emerge after a split.
The position is consistent with comments 50 has made over the years about avoiding marriage. The rapper and television executive has never been married, and he has previously joked that while he has made mistakes in life, getting married was not one of them.

With Tyrese seated nearby, however, the discussion quickly became much less serious. 50 turned toward the singer and shouted, “WHAT MORE DO YOU WANT FROM ME?” recreating the phrase from Tyrese’s widely circulated 2017 social media breakdown.

Tyrese appeared to take the joke in stride and answered, “We hate when you’re upset.” The exchange referenced the singer’s emotional video from the period when he was involved in a highly publicized custody dispute with his ex-wife Norma Mitchell and spoke tearfully about his daughter and finances.
The callback was especially suited to 50’s long-running reputation for turning celebrity moments into punchlines. This time, Tyrese was in the room to respond in real time, giving the marriage discussion an unexpected ending while the two entertainers played off a viral moment that has followed the singer for years.
