50 Cent is putting a seven-figure prediction behind his latest Diddy jab, claiming Keefe D could eventually become a star witness against the jailed music mogul.
50 Cent reacted to Duane “Keefe D” Davis being found guilty in Tupac Shakur’s murder case by floating a massive wager on what could happen next. “Keefie D guilty, guilty, guilty, smh Polly market I want to bet 1,000,000 that Keefie D is a star witness in Diddy’s Murder for higher case. LOL,” he wrote on Instagram, apparently referring to Polymarket and a hypothetical murder-for-hire case.
The post arrived after a Las Vegas jury convicted Davis of first-degree murder with a deadly weapon in connection with Tupac Shakur’s 1996 killing. 50 Cent’s $1 million challenge is a prediction and social-media taunt, not evidence that prosecutors are preparing a murder case against Sean “Diddy” Combs.
The Diddy angle traces back to statements Davis made during a recorded 2008 police interview, in which he alleged Combs offered $1 million to have Tupac and Suge Knight killed during the Bad Boy and Death Row rivalry. No such payment has been established, and Diddy has long denied involvement in Tupac’s death.
Davis later backed away from that accusation. Before trial, he said he did not believe Diddy had anything to do with the killing and claimed parts of his earlier account were given under pressure, adding another layer of contradiction to statements that have followed the case for years.
The guilty verdict against Davis does not establish that Diddy ordered, financed or participated in Tupac’s murder. There is also no public indication that prosecutors have approached Davis to testify against Combs in a new murder case, making 50 Cent’s proposed bet speculative.
Still, the remark continues a storyline 50 has repeatedly revisited as Davis’ case moved toward trial. Earlier in August, he mocked Keefe D after Davis denied Diddy’s involvement, and the G-Unit mogul has frequently used developments surrounding Combs to fuel his long-running public trolling.
Davis has said he plans to appeal his conviction and is scheduled to be sentenced on October 13. For now, 50 Cent’s million-dollar wager remains just that: a provocative prediction about where one of hip-hop’s most closely watched legal sagas could go next.
