From the small city of Covington, Louisiana, comes 20K Tarnish, an artist whose name is beginning to resonate beyond his hometown. With a sound grounded in hip hop and rap, he brings authenticity and raw energy to every track. His music tells the story of growth, persistence, and passion, and his journey shows what happens when talent meets patience and hard work.

20K Tarnish began creating music in 2017, but he waited until late 2024 to truly put himself out to the world. That patience paid off, allowing him to develop his sound and confidence before stepping into the spotlight. Over time, he shaped his artistry through experience, learning to balance creativity with control. Though he once played the guitar, it has been a few years since he last picked it up, but the musical foundation it gave him continues to influence his ear and his rhythm today.

His biggest influences include Lucki, Thouxanbanfauni, Lelo, El Snappo, and Suicideboys. Their sounds helped shape his style, yet 20K Tarnish has carved out his own unique lane within the underground scene. His music blends introspection and energy, creating tracks that both hit hard and leave listeners thinking long after the beat fades.

Since stepping forward, his journey through the music industry has been both exciting and promising. He started with smaller connections that gave him a strong head start, and within a single year, he landed two opening show opportunities that helped him build his presence on stage. Along the way, he gained the support of a growing fan base that continues to push him forward. 20K Tarnish also helped establish a collective called Purge Guerrilla, which he now co-owns. The group has become a space for creative collaboration and shared vision, helping artists like him rise together while maintaining their individuality.

He has released several singles and an EP that showcase his evolving sound, and now he is preparing to release an album that will take his music in a new direction. The upcoming project will blend the fresh ideas he has been developing with the familiar tones his fans already know and love. The anticipation for it has been building all year, as he has teased snippets and previews that highlight his growth and ambition.

When asked about his most memorable moment so far, 20K Tarnish looks back on his very first show, where he opened for Disrespect Boyz. Nervous at first, he quickly found his rhythm once he took the microphone. The moment he began performing, all hesitation disappeared, and the music took over. The crowd felt it too, even starting a small mosh pit that fueled the energy in the room. After his set, people came up to him with words of support and excitement, confirming that he was on the right path.

Now, 20K Tarnish continues to move forward with focus and fire. From the small stages of Louisiana to a growing digital audience, his journey is just beginning. Every verse and every performance adds another layer to his story, and his momentum shows no signs of slowing down. With his upcoming album on the way, the world is about to see just how far 20K Tarnish can go.
