1 on 1 with musical artist Jada Simone

Jada Simone is a professional musical artist and songwriter from Savannah, GA with a smooth a unique and dynamic style

Why do you love music?

Music has molded me into the person that I am today. I have been singing since the age of 4 and music has always been a mechanism to release anxiety or stress rather it’s through listening to music or creating it.

What makes you different as a music artist?

I’m telling someone’s story. I’m more than a singer, I’m a storyteller, an author, a therapist, your intuition. I want everyone to base my music off of their own personal experiences. I intentionally allow all of my songs to create a story.

Where do you see yourself in 5 years?

In 5 years I will be traveling the world celebrating my first Grammy nomination, and receiving global recognition. God has blessed me and destined my for success; I cannot let Him or myself down. I’ll be making sure my family is taken care of based off the work I am putting in and I’ll be working harder than ever to prove to myself I deserve this opportunity.

What do you want to accomplish in life?

I’d like to continue to unveil my talents to reach my fullest potential.

What do you bring to the music world?

Therapy. Musical therapy because my music is a mixture of past failed relationships, mishaps and what I’ve personally observed women go through in relationships as well. I bring a unique and distinctive sound to carry that message, and I soon plan to dabble in different genres of music to showcase the range of my vocal ability.

What do you want to be remembered by?

I want to be remembered by my ambition and drive as an artist. I’m always working hard and working smart. I’d like to set an example for other aspiring artists who want to go after their dreams but may be subjected by fear. I hope to become an inspiration and role model to young black girls like me who had a dreamed and followed it relentlessly until I made it reality.
