Watch NLE Choppa Previews New Song With 50 Cent

50 Cent is gearing up to add yet another television show into his roster—and he has another theme song up his sleeve. The music mogul is set to be releasing “Power Book III: Raising Kanan” in 2021 and he is already teasing the upcoming “Power” spinoff show’s theme song. The rapper announced on Friday (Nov. 27) that he tapped NLE Choppa and up and coming singer Rileyy Lanez to join him on the track that will become show’s opener.

50 shared a snippet with fans by sharing a video of NLE Choppa listening and rapping along to the track. “NEW MUSIC: RAISING KANAN THEME SONG 50cent, NLE choppa & @rileyy_lz @nlechoppamusic he want this shit out ASAP. LOL,” he captioned the Instagram post.

The “Shotta Flow” rapper also announced the news and shared the teaser clip with his fans on his Instagram page. “RAISING KANAN THEME SONG @50cent & NLE choppa ,” he captioned

The “Power” theme song “Big Rich Town Fans” took a life of its own, and became a fan-favorite. Fans took to the comments to share their thoughts on the new track, pointing out that it sounded like it sampled the 1983 hit “All Night Long” by The Mary Jane Girls, which originally sampled the 1982 song “Risin’ To The Top” by Keni Burke. “This sounds that Keni Burke sample is classic. 50 has rapped over this sample before too,” one comment read. Other fans also shared that it sounded like the classic sound from the start of 50’s music career.

“Power” alum Joseph Sikora took to the comments to react to the teaser and commented, “..Uh oh, another hit.” One fan referenced the STARZ series popular theme song and wrote: “Another theme song I’m not gonna skip.”

“Power Book III: Raising Kanan” is a prequel to “Power” and it will be set in the 1990s. The show’s storyline will chronicle Kanan Stark’s early years, the character 50 Cent played on the original show. Mekai Curtis will star as a younger Kanan, and will be joined by other stars like Omar Epps and Malcolm M. Mays.
