KITCHENER, ON – UNPROMOTED SOUNDS is thrilled to announce the release of the latest single from 3VAN, “Nothing Is The Same,” available everywhere on March 28, 2025.
“Nothing Is The Same” is a dark and melancholic addition to the rap and r&b-influenced discography of 3VAN that addresses the balancing act of moving past shortcomings and following through on ambitious dreams in the ever-changing culture that surrounds us all. It continues to build off of the reflective nature
of 3VAN’s debut EP “Sounds of My Testimony, Vol. I” while looking to the future as 3VAN situates himself in the present and moving on from the past. This single is the first of many to come as 3VAN begins to reorient his career to achieve monthly releases, building up to the release of another EP before the conclusion of the year.
3VAN is a Canadian artist/producer/sound engineer hailing from Waterloo Region, Ontario that has found his home crafting ominous, moody and emotionally provocative compositions within the urban contemporary rap/r&b subgenre since his debut in 2022. His palette borrows from the subtle melodies of 6LACK, PARTYNEXTDOOR and Drake blended with the lyrics-focused work of Earl Sweatshirt, Nipsey Hussle and Kendrick Lamar, creating a commercially familiar yet adventurous sound.
Founding UNPROMOTED SOUNDS in the same year, 3VAN truly began to find himself musically in 2024 through the recording and release of “Sounds Of My Testimony, Vol. I,” and has continued to grow in large steps through his production work with basketball player-turned-rapper Ant Lee and under the mentorship of Studio Starpop founder Wolftyla in 2025. Armed with industry connections and a refined and diverse array of skills, 3VAN has his sights set on using his music to connect with listeners and spread a message of self-reflection and hope.
