As summer reaches its mid point many artists are releasing music in attempt to find new listeners and fans during the summer months. I’ve been listening to a lot of new music and came across an artist who caught my attention. He goes by the name Travis Shyn, and has been making a name for himself all 2022.
His new single “Be in your dreams” was released on July 15 and has been gaining a lot of momentum so far. Released under the label EARTHQUAKE EAST, this melodic masterpiece is a step in the right direction for the Tacoma based singer/ songwriter. Travis Shyn is not an artist that can be tied down to any one specific genre, but I will say this new lane he has been developing is incredible.
With a shimmering plucked guitar line, and a perfectly placed snap track the production on this single is very simplistic and beautiful, leaving a ton of room for Travis Shyns’s harmonic vocal takes. With a large amount of reverb and we’ll recorded takes this is by far his best track yet. Opening up about his love and being very vulnerable, his lyrical ability shines through on this short ballad.
