The 6ix9ine legal drama continues to unfold.
Tekashi 6ix9ine is currently at a watershed moment, facing a potential life sentence. Though he has already received support from Nicki Minaj, 6ix9ine has felt utterly alone throughout these past days.
Earlier reports indicated that 6ix9ine was doing time in Brooklyn’s Metropolitan Detention Center, where he was placed in general population. Today, it was revealed that 6ix9ine has indeed left federal prison. Now, TMZ has revealed that the Dummy Boy rapper has been transferred to another facility, with allusions being made to a potential deal being struck.
According to TMZ’s report, 6ix9ine was transferred last night, in an operation organized by U.S. Marshalls. Apparently, 6ix9ine requested to be removed from an environment where both Crips and Bloods roamed free.
6ix9ine’s lawyer, Lance Lazzaro, neglected to mention whether his client actually struck a deal, though he did cite “security reasons” as a prominent measure behind the transfer.

The situation is muddied given TMZ’s own input into the situation, in which they describe 6ix9ine’s new prison as “a federal facility that is regularly used to house witnesses who cooperate with the feds.” That’s not to say 6ix9ine has struck any official deal, but it is curious that the publication would preface their report with such a claim.
It’s not entirely outside the realm of possibility for 6ix9ine to forsake his old ways in favor of, well, freedom. Especially given the fact that he has a daughter to raise, and a music career on the cusp of blowing up.
