SpenDoe and C-DUBB dropped their new album “Professional Mobbin: The Cali Way” on 09/01! Some platforms may have the new album by 9:00pm pacific time, tonight. The album has a real west coast vibe. There are some really dope tracks on this release. I am feeling “Professional Mobbin” off top! The track is a real hitter.
Sacramento hip hop artist/producer C-DUBB covered the production for this album, aside from one track provided by King-T. This heated album is definitely one to ride out the summer with, and into a few seasons. The cover art really embodies that “California West Coast” vibe. You got cars, blue sky, palm trees, and two guys on the front who have been living their California lifestyle all along. On “It’z That California” C-DUBB raps “don’t let the beach and palm tree’s fool you!” and he means just that. Many on the outside aren’t aware of California life aside from the Hollywood facade, and tourist attractions.
SpenDoe, originally from Santa Cruz California, understands this all too well. On “Know About The Struggle” SpenDoe raps “You wanna Know about the struggle, its never-ending, its real. Know why we talk about this cash, and that house on the hill? Cause it’s a long way from here where you are surrounded by knocks, and costs of living so high, know why we’re eyeing the top.”
California has been the subject of many things, and is always trending for something. It is no secret that the state is in a housing crisis, and many are barely able to get by. Add our current gas prices, and inflation to the equation… If one thing is for certain, SpenDoe and C-DUBB remain on their respective hustles. After doing a bit of research, I was able to see their names on various releases from themselves, affiliates, and features.
This is a great album from two underground artists, making their way in the game. I’m quite sure music listeners will enjoy this solid group debut from SpenDoe & C-DUBB.
