Tom Brady threw for 259 yards and two scores, Bill Belichick reached 300 wins as an NFL coach, and the New England Patriots beat the Cleveland Browns on Sunday 27-13 .
Belichick is now only behind the 347 triumphs of Don Shula and the 324 achieved by George Halas, in the list of the most winning coaches in history.
The Pats improved to an 8-0 mark, just for the third time in the team’s history and for the first time since 2015, when they started with 10-0. The Browns, in contrast, suffered their third consecutive loss.
Brady completed 20 of 36 shipments. In eight he connected with Julian Edelman, for a total of 78 yards and the two touchdowns.
New England took advantage of three Cleveland ball losses in the first quarter to take the lead 17-0. Runner Nick Chubb dropped two balls in a row and quarterback Baker Mayfield saw a pass intercepted.
