Yung Smilez is originally from Pensacola; Florida, a city with a notoriously rich culture. Early on Yung Smilez was introduced to music by way of his musical family. This allowed Yung Smilez to experience a multitude of genres ranging from Gospel, R&B ballads and even Pop. Being the middle child of seven brothers taught Smilez a lot. He and his brothers would all sing in his family’s church, this inspired a deeper love for Smilez to make music.
