Nicky Jam Joining Will Smith & Martin Lawrence in New ‘Bad Boys’ Movie
Nicky Jam is back on the big screen. The urban superstar will join Will Smith and Martin Lawrence for the third movie in the Bad Boys series, called Bad Boys for Life.
Jam will play one of the villains in the Sony pic, according to Variety, which originally reported the news. For Nicky Jam and Will Smith, It will mark another instance of Nicky Jam collaborating with Smith after the two hopped on a track together for the FIFA World Cup song “Live It Up.”
“Another Hollywood movie, thanks to you,” Jam wrote in an Instagram caption, where he shared the news. Jam previously starred in 2017’s xXx: Return of Xander Cage.
With production underway, Nicky will join a group of others that include DJ Khaled, Vanessa Hudgens, Alexander Ludwig, Charles Melton, Jacob Scipio, and Paola Nuñez.
Written by Peter Craig and Chris Bremmer, the film will be directed by Adil El Arbi and Bilall Falah Set for arrival next year, Bad Boys For Life is centered around a plot in which the original duo oWillll Smith and Martin Lawrence clash with a more modern and specialized police unit in Miami.
Filming has begun in Atlanta for Bad Boys 3 and new photos have already shown the Mike Lowry and Marcus Burnett coupling in action with one shot showing what appears to be a foot chase scene involving Smith’s character.
It has been 16 years since the last Bad Boys film, with the franchise racking up $622.1 million worldwide to date. Bad Boys For Life hits theaters on January 17, 2020.
