Nicki Minaj’s man makes it official with a new tattoo.
Kenneth Petty showed just how committed he is by getting his girlfriend’s legal name “Onika” tatted on his neck. Nicki took to Instagram to show off her boo’s new ink, which marks his first tattoo.
“Did ya tat hurt zaddy?” she wrote. “His first tat- frontin like it didn’t sting.”
This is just another sign that things are heating up between the couple. They celebrated Nicki’s 36th birthday together in the Dominican Republic and are already discussing marriage and kids.
The two met when Nicki was a 16-year-old living in Queens and friends say she’s been happier than ever since rekindling their romance.
Petty’s criminal record has also made headlines. The 40-year-old was convicted of attempted first-degree rape in April 1995 when both he and the victim were teenagers. He served nearly four years in prison for the crime.
In 2006, he was convicted of first-degree manslaughter. According to TMZ, Petty reportedly drove up on a man in Queens and shot him in the stomach three times before fleeing the scene. Petty was initially charged with second-degree murder, but pled guilty to a lesser charge of first-degree manslaughter. He served seven years before being released on parole in May 2013.
Minaj has defended her man against the rape conviction. “He was 15, she was 16 … in a relationship,” she said on Instagram. “But go awf, Internet. Y’all can’t run my life. Y’all can’t even run y’all own life. Thank you boo.”
Nicki recently announced her “Nicki WRLD Tour” with Juice WRLD. The European trek will kick off Feb. 21 in Munich, Germany and travel to 22 cities across Europe.
