It’s been over two years since Nicki Minaj and Meek Mill parted ways, but there’s still enough tension in the air to result in a minor social media tiff.
While performing in Australia over the weekend, Minaj delivered her Queen single “Barbie Dreams,” which includes a reference to her ex (via Page Six).
“Meek still be in my DMs, I be having to duck him,” she rapped before telling the DJ to stop the music. She repeated the line before adding some new lyrics: “I could tell you ni**as secrets but I won’t / ‘Cause being a bitter bitch is what I don’t.”

It wasn’t long before Meek seemingly shot back on Twitter. “Why you be sooo mad at me and not the people that came right at ya neck!” he tweeted. “I’m cool I’m doing good lol something is wrong here.”
It’s unclear if he was responding to Minaj, but the timing seems to match up. “Leave me alone you know I get a lil too out of control with the truth!” he added.

During an interview with Vulture in November, Meek called “Barbie Dreams” a “dope rap,” but denied that he was still messaging his ex. “I ain’t get no heads-up [about the song], but I definitely wasn’t in nobody’s DMs,” he said, adding, “And definitely wasn’t nobody ducking me, shit. That’s a fact.”
The couple announced their breakup in January 2017. According to Meek, Nicki has since blocked him on Instagram.
During his #AskMeek Q&A session, the Championships rapper was asked how he feels about Nicki’s new boyfriend, Kenneth Petty. “I don’t feel nothing,” he responded, “And I don’t know that man to judge him.”
