Matt Echo, 26, is rapidly becoming universally known in the hip hop industry. As Co-Owner of Studio631 Recordings on Long Island, Matt and his business partner have revolutionized the recording industry in ways the music world has never seen before.
“I really can’t remember what instrument I started first…everything progressed from there” said Matt, who has been playing music since he was a child.
Matt has been building his dream from the ground up with Studio631 Recordings. A few years ago he was renting a room for recording sessions, and now he owns the whole building.
When we asked Matt what his biggest challenge has been, he said “wearing so many hats in this industry has almost become a necessity, one of my hardest obstacles so far has been balance”.
Matt’s ultimate goal is to inspire and to force artists to think outside the box and “make music that has never been made before”. “I want to inspire kids like me, sitting in their basements, playing music by themselves, to pursue a dream that they never thought was possible”.
Matt has been working with Sean Strange on a collaborative project over the past few months, and is excited to share it with the world.
Music has been, and will continue to be a constant in Matt’s life. From traveling to being with friends and family – music is always involved.
