Lil Wayne is back in Green Bay mode with “Special Ops,” a new Packers anthem that takes aim at NFC North rivals while extending his long-running musical connection to the team.
Lil Wayne released “Special Ops” on August 28 through Young Money Records, with Republic Records handling distribution. The four-minute, 41-second track arrived after being previewed in a Green Bay Packers promotion for the team’s new “Rivalries” uniform.
Produced by Manny G, Swede and Ethan First, “Special Ops” pairs Wayne’s Packers loyalty with direct shots at Green Bay’s divisional competition. The record targets the Chicago Bears, Detroit Lions and Minnesota Vikings as Weezy turns the NFC North race into another opportunity for football-centered bars.
The song also continues a tradition Wayne established with “Green and Yellow,” his 2011 Packers remix of Wiz Khalifa’s “Black and Yellow.” He revisited that concept a decade later, and “Special Ops” gives the lifelong Green Bay supporter another dedicated anthem heading into the 2026 season.
Wayne’s latest release arrives during another busy stretch of music from the New Orleans rapper. Earlier in August, he joined Busta Rhymes over J Dilla production on “Talk Ya Sh*t”, while also appearing among the guests on The Game’s The Documentary III.
