Lana Scolaro Talks Exclusively About Her E.P And Activism

You may know her from the reality show; Rich Kids of Instagram. However, LanaScolaro has gone on to write and produce a number of songs which have become global bangers with millions of views on streaming platforms. Though she has over ten (10) awards in her musical journey so far, the achievements of the singer have been everything but an overnight success.

The song-writer cum producer was born in London. At a very young age, her parents had her in guitar lessons after school virtually every day. Lana started out playing schools musicals, the orchestra and later cut her teeth performing at open mics which helped develop her passion for singing and writing.

We reached out to her to pick her brain on her song writing process and how she continues to stay grounded amidst all the fame and over 2million followers on Instagram alone.

ON HER EP:

There are three songs on the EP currently which is titled “Play my Mind” of which she has decided to release one single at a time. The EP which is more of indie dance features Vito Raisi who works very closely with Marco Carola.

ON THE STORY BEHIND HER EP:

“Play my Mind” came from when I was sitting on my computer playing games and my phone was beeping at the same time, thereby distracting me. I felt as if my mind was being played while I was playing the game, almost as if I was in my own GTA world. I felt as if I was ‘out of my mind’ which is in my vocals and lyrics in a melodic way.”

ON HER ACTIVISM:

“If young abuse victims don’t ever speak up, they will bottle up any emotions inside which will reflect on their actions and productivity”, declared Miss Scolaro who has been vocal about young abuse victims speaking up and ousting their predators irrespective of how influential they might be. She champions this activism through her music and social media posts.
