Jonnyfenn is a talented independent artist, producer, and sound engineer who was born and raised in Torrington, Connecticut. Though Jonnyfenn is independent, he has worked with artists under Def Jam, Interscope, RCA, and Bigheads label. He also has his own string of studios with partner Ian Francis that began in Manhattan, New York, and have now spread to California, Tennessee, New York City, and Connecticut. These studios have been extremely successful and have housed some huge names in the industry such as Joey Bada$$, Desiigner, Chxpo, Jim Jones, Dom Mclennon, Merlyn Wood, Kevin Abstract, Swoosh God, Curtis Williams, 808 Mafia, Jimmy Wopo, Steven Moses, Maxo Kream, Leveon Bell, Lil Gnar, Germ, Suicide Boys, BrockHampton, and many more.
Jonnyfenn is constantly working to find his next move. He is currently working as a producer, designer, website designer, sound engineer, music video director, and so much more. Jonnyfenn has his hat in many rings trying to get to know every inch of the music industry. His time and energy are mostly channeled into music whether it be making it or listening to it. Jonnyfenn’s biggest goal right now is to be really taken seriously in the industry, which he is already achieving.
Jonnyfenn has had a lot of challenges in his life. As a child he had to constantly move around going to about 12 different schools, dealing with the split of his parents and being estranged from his father, being homeless, and working terrible jobs to make ends meet. Through it all, music was his outlet and it is seen in the depth and sincerity of his music. He writes for those feeling lost, lied to, abandoned, and alone. He writes for people who feel the same way he’s felt to let them know they can get out of it on top.
These feelings are especially portrayed in his newest album “U.G.L.Y.” coming out soon. This album has a mix of many inspirations including Kanye West, Kid Cudi, Kendrick Lamar, and J. Cole all came together to create his unique sound. This album is raw and real, filled with Jonnyfenn’s true emotions.
