Montreal artist Chef Rambo releases new single “Bathing Ape”. In his quick rise since his release NYLR, Chef Rambo has been taking full advantage of his new found popularity. With the artist giving us release after release, the excitement continues to build for what’s next. We continue to follow this artist and are left stunned everytime.
With Bathing Ape, we get a fun, mainstream inspired spin-off of what some may call lyrical cloud music. We’ve seen artists explore genres but never like this, Chef is unlocking a whole new path in diversity. In just the last 2 months, he’s showed us more progression than any other artist we’re use to.
My favourite reference to Bathing Ape remains his clever tie with the old cartoon hit “the weekenders” referencing their popular closing line, “later days!” The hardworking artist is always overtaking new paths and styles to appease his fan base and it doesn’t go unnoticed. Bathing Ape is nonetheless, a perfect way to close the summer. We’re looking to forward to what’s next.
