Since dropping out of university to pursue music full-time, Ace Cxbain is back with his latest release, ‘Rest Bae’. His first single of the year, the track comes off the back of a busy 2024, seeing Ace begin to amass an excitable, loyal following.
Capitalising on an intrinsic, dynamic percussion, ‘Rest Bae’ retains a smooth R&B flow whilst sailing across the airwaves with Ace’s seamless, liquid delivery. Coupling together alluring refrains with sultry themes, the track’s sticky finesse comes alight with its magnetic, seductive feel. The single is a resonant addition to his already-established discography, reinforcing his bold, distinctive approach to music making.
Speaking about the single, Ace explores the influences embedded in the releases, “This song was inspired by a club night in which I opened up for UK charting artist, Yxng bane, at Avan Lounge in Manchester. Coming off the stage I was instantly captivated by a girl wearing a gold dress. She smiled at me, leading me to go talk to her. The conversation had a lot of depth despite the busy surroundings of the Lounge and I was extremely attracted to her. She was very precise with her words and held amazing eye contact. I left instantly knowing I’d write a song about the experience”
