Emerging artist Samuel Vincent has released a new music video titled “Raise The Gates,” which is part of his Medieval-themed hip-hop album “Aurora Mortis,” launched in December of the previous year. This project is intricately crafted around a compelling narrative, with “Raise The Gates” serving as its introductory piece. The plot centers on the album’s protagonist, Erdinus Athelard, who arrives at a campsite seeking refuge, only to witness the mysterious murder of two guards by a cloaked figure who swiftly disappears into the woods.
Before Erdinus can pursue the assailant, the villagers at the campsite begin to turn against each other, leading to a chaotic confrontation. In the midst of this turmoil, Erdinus faces a crucial choice: to remain concealed or to fight his way out to avoid being wrongfully implicated.
Samuel Vincent’s musical journey commenced in his youth, influenced by the classic East Coast hip-hop scene. He began his artistic pursuits using his father’s tape recorder and a Yamaha keyboard. His aspirations have led to the release of two studio albums, an EP titled “Rivalry,” numerous collaborations and remixes, and a notable single, “Thrown Stoned” (from his debut album “Audiovile”), which has garnered popularity in various curated playlists and attracted attention from the underground music scene.
Furthermore, his latest project, “AURORA MORTIS,” has been lauded by critics for its innovative style and homage to dark fantasy. Currently residing in New Jersey, Samuel Vincent often spends his time composing music at home or streaming obscure video games with friends.
