Early Beginnings and Education
JD’s journey into music production began in the unlikeliest of times: during the COVID-19 pandemic in 2020. He initially started making beats on BandLab but paused his musical pursuits after high school. However, his passion for music reignited when he worked as a cameraman and realized he wanted to be more involved in the music scene. This led him to enroll at SAE Institute, where he further honed his skills.
Musical Style and Influences
Specializing in Jersey club and Jersey drill beats, JD has carved out a niche for himself in these energetic and rhythm-heavy genres. His primary influence is Mcvertt, whose work inspired JD to create his own Jersey club beats. Although he currently focuses on these styles, JD is eager to expand his skills and explore other musical genres.
Challenges and Triumphs
Entering the music industry without a background in audio was daunting for JD. “Going into the industry not knowing much about audio and starting from scratch was kinda scary,” he admits. However, he found the process of mixing and mastering to be both fun and therapeutic. This dedication paid off when he achieved a significant milestone by dropping his first beat on YouTube, marking his official entry into the music production world.
Current Projects and Aspirations
JD is currently focused on perfecting his beats and experimenting with new styles to keep his music fresh and innovative. While he doesn’t yet play any instruments, he has expressed a desire to learn the drums, which would add another dimension to his productions.
Looking Ahead
With a solid foundation in Jersey club and Jersey drill beats, JD is poised to make a significant impact in the music industry. His journey from a novice beatmaker on BandLab to a dedicated student at SAE Institute showcases his commitment to growth and excellence in music production. As he continues to refine his craft and expand his musical repertoire, JD is one to watch in the evolving landscape of music.
