Popcaan is the newest member of OVO.
The Jamaican dancehall star has signed to Drake’s OVO Sound label. The 6 God made the official announcement during Popcaan’s Unruly Fest in Jamaica on Saturday (Dec. 22), where he showed up as a surprise guest.
“This is something we worked on for a very long time. I just want to let everybody know, finally, officially, 2019, Popcaan is signed to OVO,” said Drizzy as the crowd erupted in cheers.

Drake posted a series of Instagram photos from Unruly Fest, including one of him and Popcaan. “Psycho psycho,” he captioned it, while Popcaan shared a photo of him alongside Drake and Tory Lanez. “The fam them respect my brothers,” he wrote.
Drake and Popcaan popcaancollaborated on an early version of the Views hit “Controlla,” but the album version did not feature Popcaan.
He joins the OVO Sound roster, which also includes PARTYNEXTDOOR, Majid Jordan, Roy Woods, dvsn, Plaza, and Baka Not Nice.
