Recently artists from North Carolina have been getting a major buzz in the rap community! Artists like Morray, Toosii, and Baby C have all made their mark in the game. Another rising star from the Carolinas is Sir Aped. We had a chance to catch up with Sir Aped to discuss his music and his upbringing!
(24HH) Where are you from?
I was born in Dunn,Nc; but raised in a small town called Four Oaks , NC.
(24HH) What was it like growing up in your hometown?
Growing up in my city, (as) long as you were making a route to make some money; you was considered somebody.
(24HH)When did you gain interest in making music?
I’ve always loved music, I come from a music listening and singing family. I started taking my abilities serious around middle school.
(24HH) What can you say is your biggest inspiration?
My biggest inspiration is my daughter, she inspires me to prove myself right.
(24HH) What music artist influenced you while growing up?
I have an old soul so artists like Otis Redding , David Ruffin , Sir Charles , strong voices like that.
(24HH) To date, what is your biggest song?
Mind Racin, is one or hardest songs I have to say. Go stream it!
(24HH) What are you currently promoting?
I’m promoting two records; both beats are produced by me , “To Myself” and “Say My Name Pt2” available on all platforms.
(24HH) What makes you different from most artists?
Most artist need to see different people to produce a sound I know how to create my own sound from anything!
