$k8brd, born Antonio Phillips, is a 26-year-old rapper and hip-hop artist from Cincinnati, OH. He was raised by a single mother of four in Elsmere, Kentucky.
Phillips began writing his own lyrics at an early age, influenced by Kid Cudi, Pharrell Williams, Future, and Waka Flocka Flame. He’s naturally taken on the role of big brother and protector for his family and friends. His music is based on real life experiences and stories from his life.
He loved rapping along to lyrics as a kid, and KId Cudi’s “Day ’n’ Night” video inspired him to want to be a rapper. But it was his childhood friend Yung Kelz who helped him make his first song at 16.
Eventually he went and consulted with Sauce Walka from Texas about his upcoming projects. This gave him the opportunity to learn more about the music industry and improve his own music. Antonio is currently enrolled in classes at the University of Cincinnati and continues to work on new music. Music that he wants to connect with others and make them feel good. He is motivated by his family and friends, and he gives good vibes to everyone he meets.
