Birmingham’s 205MikeG is Up Next

Recently the state of Alabama has become a forerunner in the hip hop community. Artists like Yung Bleu and Big Yavo are taking the rap game by storm. Another Alabama artist is a rise and he’s making a major buzz for his flow and delivery.

205MikeG is originally from the westside of Birmingham, an area known for its crime and violence. MikeG experienced a lot while still young, these experiences helped MikeG to grow up fast.

Mike’s humble beginning has become an inspiration for others in his area. 205MikeG actually gets his name from the area code in which he resides, this same area code was made famous by Birmingham’s Reuben Studdard. MikeG gained inspiration to make music from greats like Tupac, Lil Wayne, Moneybagg Yo and Ice Cube.

MikeG has grown to have a love for sampling music of older bands/musicians. It feels as if he’s paying homage to those before him. In his debut single/music video shot by @onitleek he displays this by letting fans know “HOW IT FEELS” coming from nothing! These are the past/current struggles of todays inner city kids and 205MikeG explains that in his songs! Follow 205MikeG on Instagram at @205mikeg.
