The tumultuous history between Funkmaster Flex and Drake has been well-documented. So it came as no surprise to see the two of them trading shots during DJ Spade’s Instagram Live session on Tuesday.
Drake started out by telling Funk Flex to go away in patois, writing, “Funk Flex guh weh pussy,” Flex then claimed that Drake was acting tough, writing, “Drake!!! Talking tuff!!!” Funk Flex wrote. “(U ain’t tuff n***a).”
Funk Flex continued to take shots at Drake during Swizz Beatz and Timbaland’s IG Live beat battle, calling the Toronto rapper “soft.” Flex also asked if Timbaland was playing the singer Tweet or Drake when he put on “Call Me.”
Despite their ongoing back and forth, Funk Flex included Drake in the top 5 in his list of top 50 rappers despite questioning Drake’s pen on the list. Flex said that the list was based on “skill level (bars),” “body of work,” and “impact.”
