Anderson .Paak and Cordae are back together on “A Good Day,” a bright new single that introduces the next chapter of their long-running collaboration.
Anderson .Paak and Cordae released “A Good Day” on September 16, 2026, marking the first single from their upcoming joint album Heavy Is The Crown. The 2-minute, 31-second track brings the pair back into the same groove as they prepare to turn years of collaborations into a full-length project.
The song is built around Bill Withers’ 1977 classic “Lovely Day,” giving the record a warm, familiar foundation while .Paak and Cordae trade their own performances over the sample. “A Good Day” leans into the upbeat chemistry that has defined the duo’s records together.
Heavy Is The Crown is scheduled to arrive October 23 through APESHIT, Mass Appeal and EMPIRE. The project will contain 11 songs, with “A Good Day” serving as the first released track from the album rollout.
.Paak and Cordae first connected on “RNP” from Cordae’s 2019 debut album The Lost Boy. They later reunited for “Two Tens” and “Summer Drop,” building a run of collaborations that eventually led to the announcement of their joint album.
