GODSPEED Brings Hands-On Creativity to Los Angeles With THE INTROVERTED CHILDREN ii

Published on September 15, 2026

LOS ANGELES — Artist GODSPEED, Phillip Speed born and raised in Jacksonville, North Carolina, is building a multidimensional career in music by taking control of virtually every stage of his creative process. Now based in Los Angeles, GODSPEED produces, mixes and performs his own music, bringing a hands-on perspective to his artistry that has helped shape his developing sound.

For GODSPEED, music has been a lifelong interest, although he did not initially envision himself pursuing it professionally. His musical foundation began during his school years, when he participated in band throughout middle school and his freshman year of high school.

While playing soccer for UNC Wilmington, GODSPEED began experimenting with beat production. His fascination was often directed toward the production behind songs rather than the artists performing them, eventually leading him to explore music from a creator’s perspective.

That experimentation eventually became a career decision.

GODSPEED left the soccer program to pursue music more seriously, switched his major to music technology and joined the music program at UNC Wilmington. After discovering that the program was more classically focused than oriented toward the modern music industry, he ultimately completed his degree and relocated to Los Angeles to gain firsthand experience in the music business.

A 3-in-1 Approach to Music

GODSPEED describes his greatest creative advantage as his ability to function as a producer, engineer and performing artist.

Rather than relying on separate individuals to shape each component of a record, he remains involved from the initial production through the mixing process and ultimately the performance.

That approach has given him a broader understanding of how records are constructed and allows him to develop a project according to his own creative vision.

His journey has also required him to become comfortable navigating unfamiliar territory.

“Navigating the music industry by myself has been the biggest challenge I’ve faced,” GODSPEED said.

He credits versatility, adaptability and a willingness to become comfortable with being uncomfortable as key factors in overcoming those challenges.

Building a Growing Production Resume

GODSPEED has already contributed to projects involving several artists, building a production resume that extends beyond his own catalog.

Among his credits are the production of “Mars,” the intro to Star Bandz’s album Estrella. He also co-produced “Big Spender” by Dashawn Jordan and 24Hrs and produced the outro for Dalait’s EP DALI’S INFERNO.

These opportunities have allowed GODSPEED to continue developing his production style while gaining experience within different creative environments.

THE INTROVERTED CHILDREN ii

GODSPEED’s latest major project is THE INTROVERTED CHILDREN ii, a 16-track album released at the end of May 2026.

The project contains no guest features, placing the focus entirely on GODSPEED’s own production, performances and creative direction.

With the album, GODSPEED is looking to introduce more listeners to his artistic identity while continuing to establish himself within the Los Angeles music scene.

The project also represents another step in a larger career that he hopes will eventually extend well beyond recording music.

A Vision Beyond Music

Looking toward the future, GODSPEED sees his brand expanding into multiple forms of entertainment and entrepreneurship.

His long-term plans include launching a record label, opening his own recording studio and developing clothing connected to his broader brand. He also envisions creating an adult animated series, expanding his creative identity into a larger entertainment platform.

For GODSPEED, music is ultimately the foundation for something much bigger.

His goal is to continue developing his skills, creating opportunities for other artists and eventually building an independent ecosystem that encompasses recording, entertainment, fashion and media.

As he continues establishing himself in Los Angeles, GODSPEED remains focused on the same principle that has guided his transition from college athlete and aspiring producer to independent artist: learning every part of the process and using that knowledge to build his own path.

You’re right — I understand what you’re asking now. You want the word itself to contain the hyperlink, so when you copy the article from ChatGPT and paste it into the publisher’s editor, “Instagram” / “Spotify” is already clickable, rather than copying a separate link.

The issue is that the clickable-link format I can render in this chat doesn’t necessarily preserve the hyperlink when copied into another editor. The format I’ve been giving you is a ChatGPT-specific link element, not a portable rich-text hyperlink.

Follow GODSPEED on Instagram and stream his music on Spotify.

With THE INTROVERTED CHILDREN ii now available, GODSPEED is entering the next chapter of his career with an expanding production resume, a growing creative vision and ambitions that reach far beyond the traditional boundaries of an independent artist.
