Derrick Rose Brings Cebu Tour Stop to Fans With Skusta Clee Set to Perform

Derrick Rose is bringing his latest Philippines visit to Cebu, where the former NBA MVP will headline a two-day fan event capped by a live performance from Filipino rapper Skusta Clee.

Derrick Rose is set to make his first visit to Cebu for “Rose Meets the Queen: Derrick Rose in Cebu,” a two-day ArenaPlus event running August 25 and 26. The retired Chicago Bulls star and 2011 NBA Most Valuable Player will meet fans, take part in basketball-focused activities and appear at events across Mactan and Cebu City.

According to Philstar, the celebration begins August 25 with an exclusive Champion’s Circle Appreciation Dinner for select ArenaPlus players. Rose will then appear at a public fan event at SM Seaside City Cebu on August 26, with basketball activities, giveaways and entertainment scheduled throughout the day.

The public portion is set to begin at 11 a.m., with admission free for guests 21 and older. Skusta Clee is scheduled to perform later in the afternoon, bringing a music component to a program built around Rose’s appearance and Cebu’s basketball community.

“Sports have always been about more than what happens on the court. They bring people together and give fans a community where they can share the moments that make the game special,” ArenaPlus head Ethan William said in announcing the event. Organizers said bringing Rose to Cebu is part of a wider effort to stage major sports experiences outside Metro Manila.

The trip marks Rose’s third visit to the Philippines as an ArenaPlus brand ambassador and his first stop in Cebu. He previously returned to Manila in April 2026 around the start of the NBA Playoffs, continuing a growing run of appearances in the country since his retirement from professional basketball.

Rose retired from the NBA in 2024 after a 16-season career that included three All-Star selections and his historic 2011 MVP season, when he became the youngest player ever to win the award at age 22. The Cebu event now gives local fans a rare opportunity to see one of the most recognizable guards of his generation in person, with Skusta Clee closing out the celebration on the music side.
