Master P says he has moved on from Snoop Cereal and is turning his attention to healthier breakfast products through Miller Family Foods. Speaking on Forbes’ The Enterprise Zone podcast, the No Limit founder said the cereal venture he built with Snoop Dogg is now behind them after a run marked by trademark complications and a high-profile retail dispute. “We got over it, then we all moved on,” Master P said, adding that customers want “more healthy cereal.”
According to Complex, Master P plans to rework the cereal concept under Miller Family Foods, the health-focused company he introduced in 2024. The brand was created around alternatives across breakfast staples including cereal, oatmeal, breakfast bars, pancakes and waffles. His latest comments suggest the next cereal will be positioned around that healthier mission rather than trying to revive the previous product exactly as it was.
Snoop Cereal began as Snoop Loopz before the name was changed following a trademark issue, and Broadus Foods later partnered with Post Consumer Brands to manufacture and distribute the product nationally. The rollout included Fruity Hoopz with Marshmallows, Cinnamon Toasteez and Frosted Drizzlerz, with Snoop Dogg and Master P presenting the company as a way to increase Black ownership and diversity in grocery aisles. In February 2024, Broadus Foods sued Post and Walmart, alleging the companies undermined the cereal by keeping product off shelves and limiting its availability, allegations the companies disputed.

Master P’s shift also puts his long-running message about ownership into a new phase. Rather than leaving the grocery business after Snoop Cereal stalled, he is moving the idea into a company carrying his own family name and a different product strategy. The entrepreneur has repeatedly tied his food ventures to creating shelf space for minority-owned brands while competing in categories dominated by large corporations. That approach now appears to be centered on products marketed around simpler, more health-conscious choices.
The pivot does not erase the significance of the Snoop Cereal experiment, which brought two major hip-hop figures into a nationwide packaged-food category with ambitions beyond celebrity branding. Its path from an announced Black-owned breakfast line to a legal fight over distribution also underscored how difficult retail placement can be even for entrepreneurs with major name recognition. Master P’s decision to continue through Miller Family Foods shows that he sees the grocery sector as a long-term business opportunity rather than a one-product venture.
For now, Master P has not announced a release date, retail partners or a finalized name for the healthier cereal he described on the podcast. He also did not indicate that Snoop Dogg would be part of the Miller Family Foods version, making the new direction distinct from their previous collaboration. What is clear is that Master P is closing the Snoop Cereal chapter while keeping breakfast food firmly inside his broader business plans.
