Prison walls can’t stop 6ix9ine from creating.
Sources close to the Dummy Boy rapper tell TMZ that Tekashi has been spending most of his time behind bars writing and producing songs for his next album.
Tekashi, who was arrested on federal racketeering charges in November, has also been creating visuals. Although he faces life in prison, the grim circumstances have inspired some “serious writing.” He’s been finding inspiration by listening to some of his fellow inmates’ life stories.
Additionally, he’s been passing the time by working out and is healthier now than prior to his incaceration.
While he awaits his September trial, 69 has been receiving support from friends and family. His girlfriend Jade recently paid him a visit, posting a photo of her kissing the rapper while he grabs her butt. “He’s good luv, enjoy #FreeDanny,” she captioned the pic.
Just days after his arrest on Nov. 18, 6ix9ine released his album Dummy Boy, which debuted at No. 2 on the Billboard 200 and featured collaborations with Kanye West, Nicki Minaj, and Tory Lanez.
