YG's SUV Involved In Car Chase And Police Shoot-Out in Compton

ABC 7 has reported that a black Cadillac Escalade SUV that was involved in a police shooting in California is registered to YG. According to multiple reports, a Los Angeles deputy sheriff attempted to pull over the black SUV at approximately 11:20 p.m. on July 3 for reckless driving.

Approximately fifteen minutes later, shots were allegedly fired and a high speed chase ensued. During the chase, a person inside the SUV also allegedly fired shots at an overhead helicopter that arrived as the chase moved toward the freeway.

Lieutenant Derrick Alfred told ABC 7, “One deputy was struck. It appears that it was a grazed wound to his right arm that continued on and grazed his shoulder.”

In addition to the deputy, a man was found along the route of the chase with 17 fatal bullet wounds. At this time, it is unclear when the man was hit.

One man has been arrested in connection to the car chase. Another man is believed to have fled on foot. Reports have not confirmed or denied YG’s involvement in the chase.
