Vince Carter is a legendary figure in the NBA pantheon for his spectacular dunks and putting the Toronto Raptors on his back during the beginning stages of his career. Now having played 21 seasons in the NBA, last suiting up for the Atlanta Hawks, Carter has signaled that his next season, that will see him break the record for most seasons played by an NBA player, will be his last.

Appearing on ESPN’s The Jump, Carter said he had “one more run” left in him.

Selected with the 5th pick in the 1998 NBA Draft, Vince Carter went on to win the 1999 NBA Rookie of the Year, make eight all-star appearances and win the 2000 NBA Slam Dunk Contest, which has been heralded as the greatest performance in the competition’s history. Carter has played for eight teams during his storied career, most notably the Toronto Raptors and New Jersey Nets.

Making 76 appearances for the Atlanta Hawks last season, Carter averaged 7.4 points and 2.6 rebounds per game in an average of 17.5 minutes per game.
