Just a night from formally accepting the Republican nomination for President of the United States, Donald Trump spoke at a rally in New Hampshire where he went on a patented, unhinged rant.
At the center of Trump’s ire was the treatment Senator Rand Paul received in D.C. after leaving the convention. Apparently, Rand Paul needed to be escorted by police to safety.
“They walked out to a bunch of thugs,” said Trump. He threw shots at D.C. Mayor Muriel Bowser for her inability to secure the safety of Trump supporters. The president described the protesters as being full of “[u]nhinged, manic rage. You ought to see last night in Washington, it was a disgrace.” He punctuated his rant with, “No one will be safe in Biden’s America.”
