Jordan Brand is set to release the Air Jordan OG in a new “Coconut Milk” colorway with orange basketball leather accents. Originally released in 1998, the Air Jordan OG was the first Jordan Brand sneaker designed exclusively for women. It was a large part of the Jumpman’s 2020 release slate as well, dropping in several in-line colorways while also serving as the centerpiece of a Melody Ehsani collaboration. However, this “Coconut Milk” makeup marks the AJ OG’s 2021 debut.
The Air Jordan OG’s most notable piece is its midfoot, on which sits two overlays — one done up in shaggy tan suede with Air Jordan 13-style pockmarks, the other with pebbled orange basketball leather — rimmed with thick black trim. Another thickly-trimmed overlay with a Jumpman graphic sits on the heel, and the upper’s “Coconut Milk” base layer is made of a smooth tan suede.
Further branding is present on the tongue, and a crown-like graphic graces the lower half of the heel. Midsoles are made from white EVA foam and add a debossed Jumpman graphic. Last but not least, outsoles take on an orange tone that matches the aforementioned basketball leather on the upper.
Look for the Air Jordan OG “Coconut Milk” to release via the Nike webstore and at retailers like Foot Locker on May 24. The MSRP will be set at $140 USD.
