Taylor made her promise of new music in 2019 during a conversation with none other than Elton John during a visit to his radio show. “Not a might, it’s definitely gonna come out this year,” she said at the time. “I’m gonna do whatever I have to do to make sure it get out.”
She also let fans know what to expect from the new material, including that it wouldn’t be produced by Kanye West like K.T.S.E. was. “This one is a little bit of everybody,” she said. “I want to kind of explore a little bit more, get a couple more people involved, to really, really bring to life my vision.”
