The wait is finally over, Kanye West has officially released his highly-anticipated ninth studio album, Jesus Is King.
Equipped with 11 tracks, Jesus Is King was originally attached to a September 27 release date. In recent Kanye fashion with 2018 Wyoming albums, that release date did not stick but the material has arrived just less than a month after its initial release date.
Furthermore, the star brings about his “Jesus Is King: A Kanye West Experience” IMAX film, in theaters this weekend, to accompany the new music he has given to fans.
Kanye’s latest project features a variety of the YEEZY founder’s peers, including Clipse, Ant Clemons, Ty Dolla $ign, gospel singer Fred Hammond, instrumentation from Kenny G, and more.
Production-wise, Ye continues to link with the industry’s finest — Pi’erre Bourne, Ronny J, Mike Dean, and Timbaland, are just a few to have their sound grace the project.
The first of two potential bodies of work in the 4th quarter, Jesus Is King shines a new light on Mr. West. In true Kanye fashion and like his 8th studio album, Ye, Jesus Is King is an event that we will not be forgetting in the foreseeable future.
