SHAY Khushrenada Reignites London’s Rave Spirit With “VANTA VANTA”

Published on August 28, 2026

East London artist SHAY Khushrenada delivers a high-energy collision of UK hip-hop, breakbeat and rave culture on his explosive new single, “VANTA VANTA.”

East London artist SHAY Khushrenada has released his new single, “VANTA VANTA,” an unapologetically British record built around the energy of underground parties and packed dance floors. Released today, August 28, the song channels the sound and attitude of the city that shaped him.

Produced by Boston MG, whom SHAY discovered online, “VANTA VANTA” begins with an instrumental that immediately caught the artist’s attention. Its intense production reminded him of the rebellious energy associated with acts such as The Prodigy, giving him the foundation for a song that remains rooted in his own identity.

The song’s greatest strength is how naturally its different influences work together. SHAY’s commanding delivery cuts through the restless breakbeat production, while the repeated “Make London Rave Again” message gives the record the kind of direct, memorable identity that works equally well in headphones or across a crowded dance floor.

The inspiration behind the record extends beyond its sound. SHAY created “VANTA VANTA” after watching parts of East London’s nightlife lose their edge as venues closed and curfews and licensing restrictions placed increasing pressure on the city’s late-night culture.

SHAY’s genre-blending approach reflects a career shaped by experimentation. After years with rap and metal group The Doberman Boys, who won AFROPUNK’s London Battle of the Bands in 2019, he returned to solo music in 2026 with records including “What I Like” and “ISSA VIB£.”

Recorded at The Recording Studio London, “VANTA VANTA” brings together SHAY’s hip-hop foundation with breakbeat and classic rave influences. His wider inspirations include Linkin Park, Lupe Fiasco, Mos Def, Skepta and Kano, reflecting the balance of intensity, lyricism and experimentation behind his direction.

The accompanying music video expands the story beyond London. SHAY travelled alone to Rio de Janeiro, where he reconnected with his friend Verissimo and the creative collective Corporação Cápsula before performing the song for the first time in Baixada Fluminense.

With “VANTA VANTA,” SHAY Khushrenada transforms his concerns about London’s changing nightlife into an energetic celebration of the culture that raised him. The single is out now, with its official music video available below.
