Their music inspired him to pick up the mic and start creating his own. “They helped me find my unique sound,” MTL says.

One lyric that stands out to MTL is: “This is what my mind do, I’m thinking out loud, if I never made this song prolly never get these words out.” He says it’s one of his favorites because it encapsulates the therapeutic nature of his songwriting process. “That applies to every song I make,” he reveals.
This fall, MTL is gearing up to release not one, but two albums that showcase his musical range. The first, “From The Gump,” drops on August 30th and represents one of his main genres. The second album will follow, highlighting another side of his artistry. “Each album encapsulates its genre perfectly,” he teases.
