Monica and Shannon Brown are officially parting ways
R&B singer Monica file the paperwork for divorce from husband Shannon Brown earlier this month in Atlanta, according to TMZ on Thursday, 28 March 2019.
The couple shares a 5-year-old daughter named Laiyah, and Monica has two sons, Romelo and Rocko, from a previous relationship with rapper Rocko.
It’s unclear whether Monica is seeking child or spousal support, but she has been unable to seal the divorce docs.
The couple wed in 2010 after the former Laker co-starred in Monica’s “Love All Over Me” video. They tied the knot in November of that year.
Monica famously claimed that Shannon — best known for his time with the Lakers — performed better on the court after he had sex with her … especially when he played for the Phoenix Suns.
