
MIAMI BEACH, FL – The Miami Takeover 2026 is set to launch its highly anticipated summer festivities in unforgettable fashion with The Art of Laughter Festival, taking place on Friday, July 24, 2026, at the legendary Miami Beach Bandshell (7275 Collins Ave, Miami Beach, FL 33141). Running from 4:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m., the opening celebration promises an extraordinary fusion of standup comedy, live music, visual art, and cultural experiences, creating a one-of-a-kind event that celebrates creativity, community, and connection.
As the official kickoff to The Miami Takeover’s 18th annual festival, The Art of Laughter Festival is designed to unite audiences through entertainment while showcasing some of the nation’s most exciting talent. The event reflects the organization’s longstanding commitment to uplifting Black culture through unforgettable experiences that inspire joy, artistic expression, and meaningful engagement.
Early bird tickets are now available through Eventbrite for a limited time, offering attendees the opportunity to secure their place at what is expected to be one of Miami Beach’s premier summer events.
Music lovers can look forward to an electrifying lineup of performances featuring Top 5, one of Washington, D.C.’s most celebrated go-go bands, joined by hip-hop artist and R&B singer Antfar Music. The evening will also feature dynamic live performances from Atlanta-based collective Quinn & the Jukebox, led by Grammy-nominated vocalist Quinn, whose soulful sound and high-energy stage presence have captivated audiences nationwide.
The carefully curated musical programming promises a vibrant blend of classic R&B, go-go rhythms, and feel-good performances that encourage audiences to dance, celebrate, and immerse themselves in an atmosphere of positivity.

Comedy will take center stage throughout the festival with an impressive roster of 10 of the country’s top Black standup comedians, delivering an evening packed with unforgettable performances and nonstop laughter.
Hosted by Miami’s Soul Scene Queen Ingrid B alongside the Punchline King, Spunky Robinson, the comedy lineup includes Joe Clair, Tony Woods, Ronnie Jordan, Esaw McGraw, Ashima Franklin, Eddie Bryant, Lawrence Killabrew, Antoine Scott, Maria Sanchez, and Howie Bell. Together, these acclaimed entertainers will bring diverse comedic styles and perspectives that promise to leave audiences laughing long after the show concludes.
“From captivating visual art, high-energy music, and the funniest standup comedy lineup in the country, The Art of Laughter will be sure to brighten everyone’s mood,” said Antwoine McCoy, co-founder and partner at The Miami Takeover LLC.
Adding another dimension to the experience, Miami visual artist Rodney Royal will unveil an exclusive solo exhibition celebrating Black culture, community, and iconic historical figures through bold and thought-provoking works of art. His exhibit serves not only as a creative showcase but also as an opportunity to give back.
Proceeds from art sales will benefit the One R.O.Y.A.L. Effect Foundation, an organization dedicated to empowering youth through arts education, academic tutoring, literacy initiatives, mathematics programs, creative development, and social-emotional support, while strengthening communities throughout South Miami.
“We’re passionate about platforming and supporting local creative artists like Rodney, and attendees will get to see some of his latest incredible art that celebrates culture and community,” McCoy added.
